I know its been forever and I just have a lot going on with my life but I had to write a review about this product. Don’t get me wrong, I love Anastasia. I love their brow stuff, their lippys and their modern renaissance palette (as you can tell in my other post), but this one was such a HUGE disappointment.

I do not own the other glow kits but I have borrowed one from a friend, purchased them as birthday presents and I was so excited to finally own the famous Anastasia glow set for my own so I asked for it for Christmas.

It was definitely not what I expected. I was hugely disappointed. It had no pigment at all, it was swatching NOTHING! I was so so sad. I don’t know how to make the pigment show. I’ve tried wetting the brush(Morphe M510) a little, but when I brushed it on my face it was just streaky and the glitter was just so chunky.

Needless to say, I was so unhappy. If anyone has an idea how I might be able to use it as eyeshadow or a highlighting topper, please let me know in the comments. Sadly, this was a no go for me. I just can’t believe the one highlighting palette I get from Anastasia was a bad one. I thought it would be so good since it was so new to their line.

I was not able to find a link for it on Sephora, I don’t know if they sell it there anymore?
Please leave me your thoughts about it down below! I would love to hear different opinions on this product!

Like I said before, Anastasia is an amazing brand! I have a bunch of their products but this one was like a 2/10 for me. What glow?

Wooo! Let’s take a breather.
I feel like I haven’t written anything in forever! These last couple of months have been so crazy for me! So many events, plans and new experiences. I just don’t know where to start or feel sometimes.
But I really want to buckle down and do what I love to do. I actually have some time to myself now and it’s just a perfect time to recoup.
These next couple of days I will be reviewing The matte liquid lipsticks, Stable make ups, a few recipes and reviews of certain things. It’s going to be a blast of things to read.
I kind want to do a weekly blog of my life but I don’t know if that’s too much or who would even care to read. Maybe I’ll do it for my own joy of looking back.
I want to start a series of college student cooking on a budget, especially cooking Vietnamese food. So many ideas and decisions.

Much Love,

I’ve been pretty M.I.A from really getting into this so I will be posting a couple reviews at a time but I have been just out and about planning my 23rd birthday and going to school. It was one of the best birthdays a crazy girl can ask for.

Since it was my birthday, my make up junkie self treated myself to  a KAT VON D’s EVERLASTING LIQUID LIPSTICK & a few other products!

I already had the color Lulita II. (one of my favorite colors, I carry it with me everywhere. Its a stable in my purse.) I made a purchase of a deeper red in my collection. I bought Vampira.

Links below will take you directly to the page.

  1. Lulita II– nude
  2. Vampira – deep burgundy

Price: $20
Size: .22 fl.oz

Lulita was beautiful and the application is amazing and the pigment true to the packaging. It is not drying and very light weight, thats why I love it so much.
Sadly, Vampira did not make me feel the same way. Although it is light weight and not drying, the application was so streaky. I tried to layer it but it would just get clumpy and still had a streaky look. I just could NOT get to be even. It is definitely not my go to color, I’m sadly disappointed. This color was a major miss…

Overall, Kat Von D products are amazing, I’ve used a couple of other products (comment below if you would like a review on those) but this one would have to be a 4/10, solely on Vampira.

Much love,

I love this palette so much, and that is saying a lot for me. I usually gravitates more towards browns and nudes. Although this does have that, the berry hues are the reason I picked this up. The formula of these shadows are amazing, Anastasia really stepped up their game with this baby.

The formula is super buttery, smooth and really blendable. It goes on flawlessly. I mean can we talk about the colors also, antique bronze, and that beautiful raw sienna! It is such a beautiful transition color. A little definitely goes a long way! Super pigmented so just a dip on the brush is all you need. The shadows are a little powdery, but I personally don’t mind it all.

These are some swatches I found online on google. My camera is still being a little funky.

When it comes to make up, I am more of an eyeshadow junkie. I will collect palette on palettes. Even if I haven’t touched a new one I JUST bought, I will buy another.  ( I write this, maybe I do have a problem…nope haha *Denial)

Lately I have been obsessed with this palette leaving my M350 behind. Picking up this gem and totally ready for the fall to come around already. To me, this is really worth having in your collection. Along with the amazing product, the packaging is also cute with its velvety cover.

Anastasia kills it in the brow game, but girl, they are about to kill it in the eyeshadow game, yas b. I can’t wait to see what is next.

Now, Jeffree Star has a been bashed left to right on social media lately, but I have no interest in that honestly. I am however a make up junkie and I love myself some good products! I currently own 3 Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lips and 2 of his Skin Frost (highlighters)  Let me tell you, these products are amazing. Size, quality, quantity…just absolutely AHMAHZING!! I’m a little obsessed. haha.

Valour Liquid Lipsticks:  Mannequin, Unicorn Blood and Celebrity Skin.
Retails: $18 each
Size: .19 fl.oz

I’ve tried a couple of other liquid lipsticks from other brands but this by far has to be my favorite formula. Each color is super pigmented, not streaky and dries incredibly, it does not leave my lips feeling like a desert (note: I swear I have like chronic dry lips and skin so this a major plus.)  There is a light transfer, but thats normal with most lipsticks. The scent is not too bad and I love that it does not linger all day. Overall this product and formula is amazing, it is definitely great for the price and quality. I wish I could show you how cute and small the packaging is but unfortunately my camera is not working for some odd reason. That will get fixed soon.
Celebrity Skin is my every day wear, I have it in my purse, back pack for school, my clubbing shade. I just love myself a good nude, like uhhhh can you see that color. I’m dying!

Skin Frost: Peach Goddess & Ice Cold

Retail: $29
Size: .53 oz.

BLINDING! These are super pigmented so a little goes a long way. I love applying it with my Morphe M510 brush. Its like an orgasm on your cheeks, nose and well where ever you want to apply it. It is so smooth, so shiny. Jeffree is a highlighting goddess and he was definitely NOT playing around with these bad babies. I can’t wait till he launches more colors out. This product size…oh em gee. It is the bigger than my palm! When I received this package, the size got me feeling some type of way ya’ll, so definitely worth every penny.

****Unfortunately these particular shades, both Liquid lips and Skin Frost are sold out. (That’s how good his line is) BUT, he always updates on what shades are coming back and when on his twitter, instagram and snapchat: @Jeffree Star. Links to where to purchase these products will be below. Give the other shades a try, I wouldn’t review it, if I didn’t honestly love it.
